The Blind Leading The Blind

The New reality show, "It takes a church" depicts the church as a dating business.
When Jesus sent the disciples out this is what He told them: "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." It disturbs me when I see a reality show called, "It takes a church." There is no wonder these people are walking around oppressed, stressed and not blessed.  You may say, April, what's wrong with that?  The problem I have is that hooking people up in the church is not mentioned in the great commission! The church has allowed the enemy to come in and distract them from doing what they are suppose to be doing, while distorting and dissimulating the gospel. When Jesus met the woman at the well, He wasn't concerned about her finding a husband—He was concerned about her SOUL! Don't take my word for it, read John 4:1-10. He directed her to someone far greater than any man. People are thirsty for the living water, but they don't realize it. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that you shouldn't desire a husband or wife (if that's your choice), but I am saying that all things must be set in their place. The bible teaches that you should seek first the Kingdom of God and everything else will come. The FIRST commandment says," Thou shall have no other god besides me" (Exodus 20:3). So why then is the church bringing this foolishness into God's house? Or is it really God's house? No one is getting saved by you hooking them up with a mere man or woman. Put those things of the kingdom first! Everything is permissible but not beneficial. If I have a husband laying beside me, but I am full of mess, what good is that going to do me or for that matter him? The man messed up, I'm messed up, everybody just MESSED UP! Come on people! This is nonsense at best! I'm tired of the devil deceiving God's people and making a fool out of them. Stop letting the enemy beat you up side your head.  Get up and hit him with the hammer! The bible says my people perish for a lack of knowledge.  He didn't stop there, He said with ALL thy getting get UNDERSTANDING.  Understand what God plan is for your life.  Jesus came that we may have life and life more abundantly.  If we continue to walk blindly, we will keep being ensnared and trapped up in the enemy's deceit, and as a result, we will stay messed up.  Don't entangle yourself into the things of this world. Just because you see a church doing it on television, doesn't mean it's right. What does God's Word say about that? That's why God said to study to show yourself approved. If God ain't doing the hooking up—keep that to yourself!

My First, My Last, My Everything

Abigail and Clark were high school sweethearts who had plans to get married.  Abigail was not as popular as her boyfriend, Clark.  She wanted to wait until marriage before having children and was still a virgin.  Clark on the other hand, was a scholar but was popular and loved to party. After graduating high school, the two attended college. After completing two years of college, Abigail began to have second thoughts about the course of their relationship.  Since graduating high school, Abigail began doing all of the things she promised herself she wouldn't.  She started drinking, smoking and partying.  Above all else, she'd lost the one thing that she valued the most—her virginity.  She knew Clark was not the one she wanted or needed to spend the rest of her life with. He had changed since they left high school.  He partied in high school, but never like this.  She no longer knew the man that she once fell in love with. Abigail had enough of all the alcohol, partying and smoking. She wanted out of the sorority lifestyle she was in.  This wasn't her and she didn't like the person she'd become. What could she do?  She had sabotaged her relationship with the one person that knew everything about her.  She hadn't talked to Him in what seemed like decades.  He was the One she shared her deepest and innermost secrets with. Their relationship fell apart after she and Clark hooked up. She no longer had time for Him.  It was too late for their friendship. There was no way He would let her just mosey on back into His life.  Honestly, who would blame Him?  Here she is, after all of these years, desiring another chance at their friendship.  The whole thought was just ludicrous! The years of being separated from her best friend began to weigh in heavy on her and she became deeply depressed.  She didn't know where He was or how to find Him.  She decided to attend her home church before returning back to school.  The atmosphere had a relaxing and refreshing feel to it; Just what she needed.

I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5)
As the pastor taught his sermon, great joy overtook her and she began to cry.  What was happening?  Her heart was beating faster and faster and she felt joy that she'd never experienced before.  As tears streamed down her face, she looked over to her right side. There He was sitting there beside her.  Realizing who it was, she tried to stand but fell to her knees because they had become weak. As He lifts her up, she whispers, "I've been looking for you.  I have missed you terribly. I am sorry for the way I've treated you. I realize that you were the one all the time."  Smiling at her, He replies, "I never left, you did.  I've been here all the time waiting for you to come back!"

We all have done things that we regret, however, never allow that to stop you from completing the journey God has set before you. This story depicts the undying and unyielding love that Christ has for us.We are His bride, whom He gave His life for. We spend so much of our lives connected to the wrong people, with the wrong mindsets, and  wrapped up in how we feel. We need to get a divine revelation of Christ's love for us. This revelation will change your life. Come back to your first love. Let the world know that you have filed for a divorce, because your true love awaits you!
